BIO
“Everything I know about life I learned from playing ‘Clue’”.
Born in the Northeast United States steeped in an academic atmosphere, they learned early that research is the key to everything. “If you want to understand something, you must seek information, organize the facts and toss out the chaff”. Living in different parts of the country has provided opportunities for research from which to gain insight into the cultural diversity of small-town America. With a Philosophy degree from Rutgers, and experience as an R.N., and spending decades volunteering for organizations which support people with alternate abilities, their background in understanding and treating the human psyche has provided insight enhanced through studio art study at The Pratt Institute and the New York Studio School. A multi-sensorial artist, with painted works in acrylic, oil and wax, with companion tactile works in sculpture and assemblage, they use a variety of techniques to address social issues close to the hearts of local people and world issues affecting us all. |
